Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Excellent true authentic Italian cuisine. The lunch specials are really a great buy. Luca will also cater.

I stumbled upon this place after I Yelp searched "salad" on a work trip. It was noon on a Friday and I was the only one there. The bartender/server told me to sit wherever I wanted. They weren't very friendly during the greeting and it almost seemed like they did not want nor did they expect anyone to show up to eat. I felt a little uncomfortable. A woman who I'm assuming was the manager then came over to take my order. She wasn't overtly friendly either, not what I expected from a "family" owned operation. She took my drink order and I was ready to order the salad at the same time. It came out incredibly fast and was nothing short of amazing! Except for the olives, I hate olives. But I just picked off what seemed like 50 olives and dug in. Their dressing was homemade and so good. The lettuce and toppings were all fresh and crisp. And it was loaded with seasoned chicken which was very tasty. The server came back once to ask how I was but did not give me more napkins which I had to get up and get myself. The service here is nothing to write home about, again, I didn't feel very welcome and comfortable once I entered. But the food I had was awesome. A couple walked in a little after me who seemed to know the staff and they were very friendly to them. The food they ordered looked great as well. This place seems more of a family dinner place than a lunch spot. I'll come back for a great chicken salad on my next trip. But I won't expect great service.

I eat here pretty occasionally and I agree with a few comments that service is not good. The food is what really saves them. If they read this comment, I would strongly suggest that they have matching salt n pepper shakers, a napkin holder along with grated cheese and crushed red pepper shakers on the tables. I ALWAYS get up to get more napkins along with cheese and red pepper. It's like you are afraid to put them on the table. This is an Italian restaurant is it not? Also, please play Italian music or any music. The 12" tv screen is a waste in such a large dining area. Wear some sort of uniform or logo shirts and no flip flops. Turn the lights on and cheerfully greet customers. This is just constructive criticism from someone whose been in the business for many years.

Used to be very very good. Really liked their white garlic chicken pizza but now it's always over cooked. I think their hired new staff in the kitchen.. Haven't been back since last year.

The first time I ate at Luca's I thought it was just okay. The second time I enjoyed it much more. The service was great, and even though I was only one person, and the waitress had 4 or 5 other tables, she still was very attentive to my needs. Regarding the food, I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs lunch special. The main reason I took a star off was due to the fact that it was really just spaghetti and meatball, being that there was only one ball of meat on my plate! plus, it cost $8.95. It did come with a very tasty garlic knot though. Overall, I enjoyed my meal very much. The sauce, which I find to be key to good Italian food, was very good. Not too sweet, not too thin, and had chunks of tomato in it. All in all, I definitely enjoyed Luca's much more the second time around. One thing I would like to mention is that based on yelp reviews, Luca's isn't as good as Joey Mozzarella's restaurant down Blanding, and I have to disagree. Luca's, in my opinion, does it better.

Outstanding meal. It started with complimentary garlic knots, which were delicious. I ordered Luca's special calzone. Others in my group ordered chicken parmigiana and spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. The calzone was possibly the best I've ever had. The other meals were just as good. Their marinara sauce is made fresh each day and is absolutely wonderful. Service was great. It's not a fancy place but it's clean. This place is a diamond in the rough.

Good food super cheap. The service is good. If your looking for a good meal on a budget this is the place.

I'll preface this review by saying I've only ever had their pizza. I've heard mixed things about their other food (and the reviews seen to reflect that) but the pizza is very good. Service is very hit or miss. The place is clean but nothing special. It's basically exactly what you'd expect from an Italian place in Middleburg. It's a nice change from all the chain and fast food places around and I'm always happy to pick a locally owned place over the same old chains.

Amazing food service and the best chocolate moose cake. I think this is the best place for everyone. Especially if you have a big appetite.

Great place to eat spaghetti with meatballs, huge portions and very delicious. My favorite Italian restaurant in all area.

We just finished a delivery order from their new location on Merrill Road. First time eating from Luca's. The fettuccini alfredo with chicken was bland and the chicken dry and tough. The Chicken Luca had maybe 2 ounces of chicken in it and it, too, was very dry and tough. The salads were very generic. The bread knots were burned. Free is overpriced.

Yum!! The owner is from Tuscany... So don't come expecting American style Italian food- you won't get it. His food is the real deal!
(4)Renee R.
Favorite place! Great service, great food, everything is made fresh, nothing from a can or bag! Whenever we have visitors come to town we ALWAYS take them to Lucas and everyone has always loved it!
(5)Elizabeth C.
Great place for lunch, they have made some changes in the furniture and made it nicer and got rid of the old carpet, now get rid of the dusty old junk and replace it with paintings or maps of italy. Good pizza weird decor!

Good Pizza, great lunch deal, $1.00 slices. Nothing fancy here the pizza is thin and very good.

3.5 stars. I have been here more then a few times. Their pizza is great and when the chicken is cooked and not raw on their salad it is awesome. However, the past four to five times we have had the same waitress and had horrible service. The owner's wife (I believe) is the best waitress to have by far.
(3)Vince G.
Great Italian restaurant for the price and considering that its located in Middleburg which has absolutely nothing to offer foodies. Their lunch specials are great deals and you would be hard pressed to find a better deal than a dollar a slice.

First visit. We arrived at 4:30pm on Sat. The parking lot and inside was empty except for one couple until a little after 5:00pm and then it was non-stop customers. Staff was customer oriented and stopped by frequently to clear dishes and ask if we needed anything. To better gauge the food we ordered the Tilapia W/Bowtie noodles, Bakes Spaghetti w/mozzarella and two meatballs, shrimp scampi W/bowtie noodles, calzone w/pepperoni and sausage. Tilapia was good, shrimp was good however bowtie noodles are pretty generic alkthough these were doen just right... a little AL-dente. The Baked Spaghetti with mozzarella melted all over was really good and the meatballs had great flavor. The calzone had a flavorful, soft and chewy crust and the ingredients were mmmmmm. I'd go back just for the spaghetti and calzone alone but I still want to try the pizza.

Seriously delicious pizza. White garlic chicken pizza is one of the best I've had. I'll come here whenever I have a pizza craving.

My lady and i have quickly become very fond of this restaurant. We have visited 3 times now and have been very happy each time. The food is as home cooked as you can get, the house salad dressing is awesome. the prices and service are good, we really enjoy eating here!
